When you buy lighting with confidence, the experience should feel clear, informed, and reassuring from the start. Whether you are choosing a chandelier for your foyer, a vanity light for a bathroom remodel, or a ceiling fan for your living room, you deserve to know what to expect before you place your order.

Buying lighting, furniture, and home décor online should feel exciting, not uncertain.

At Isabelle’s Lighting, one of the ways we serve our customers is through transparency. We believe good service is not just about offering beautiful products. It is also about giving you clear, helpful details so you can make a confident decision.

That includes stock information, backorder updates, production timing, shipping details, and honest guidance when another option may be better for your timeline.

What Does “Stock May Be Limited or Incoming” Mean?

On some product pages, you may see a message that says “Stock may be limited or incoming.”

That message means there may be more information available than what can be shown automatically on the website. In those cases, we can help clarify what is actually happening behind the scenes.

For example, we may be able to tell you if:

  • The item has low stock available.
  • The item recently arrived at our manufacturer’s warehouse but has not been fully checked in yet.
  • The item is currently on backorder.

This matters because each situation calls for a different decision.

  1. If stock is low, you may want to order sooner.
  2. If inventory has just arrived and is waiting to be checked in, the item may be able to ship soon.
  3. If the item is on backorder, we can help you understand whether waiting makes sense or whether an alternative product would be a better fit.

Backorders Are Not All the Same

When an item is on backorder, the next question is important:

Is the item in an active production run?

  • If the answer is no, the best option may be to look for an alternative solution or check back later. Estimated dates can change substantially when an item is not actively being produced.
  • If the item is in active production, we may still be able to accept the order. In that case, we will help you understand that the estimated date can still change, but there is at least active movement toward future availability.

We want customers to have realistic expectations. A backorder date is helpful, but it is not the same as a guaranteed delivery date. That is why we believe in sharing as much detail as possible so you can decide what is best for your project.

Why Overseas Shipping Dates Can Still Change

Many lighting and home décor products are manufactured overseas. Once production is complete, these items travel by container ship to the brand’s warehouse in the United States.

At that stage, the timeline is often more stable than it was before production was completed. The product still needs to arrive at port, move through the normal shipping process, and then be inspected once it reaches the warehouse.

There can still be delays, but once an item has completed production and is on its way to a U.S. warehouse, the remaining steps are usually clearer than when the item is still waiting to be made.

Direct Shipping From Manufacturer Warehouses

In most cases, items ship directly from the manufacturer’s warehouse to our customers.

This is intentional. Direct shipping helps reduce extra handling, which may lower the chance of shipping damage. It can also improve delivery efficiency because the item does not need to stop at our location before continuing on to you.

For larger lighting fixtures, mirrors, furniture, and delicate home décor, fewer touchpoints can make a meaningful difference.

Our goal is simple: help your order arrive as smoothly and safely as possible.

Clear Pricing, Not Surprise Add-Ons

Transparency should include price, too.

When you compare lighting online, be sure to compare the full cart price, not just the product price on the first page. Some websites may show one price at first, then add shipping, handling, surcharges, or other fees later in checkout.

At Isabelle’s Lighting, we want the price to be clear before you order. You pay the product price shown upfront. We cover standard shipping entirely on orders of $99 or more. Orders under $99 include a small $9 handling fee.

That is it.

No confusing freight surprises. No hidden handling charges on qualifying orders. No making you get deep into checkout before you understand what the order will cost.

Be Careful With “Protection Plans”

You may also see some websites offer add-ons like “accident protection” or product protection plans. In many cases, these are simply extended warranties with a different name.

For many purchases, the common-sense question is simple: Is this extra cost really worth it?

All products already include a manufacturer warranty for at least 12 months. And if something unexpected happens later, it may be better to contact us first. In many cases, we can assist with replacement glass, shades, hardware, remotes, or other parts that are available through the manufacturer.

That does not mean every situation is covered, and replacement parts are not always available. But we would rather help you look for a practical solution than push you into paying for an add-on you may never use.

Trade+ Savings for Pros

Builders, electricians, designers, and property managers may also qualify for additional discounts and perks through an Isabelle’s Trade+ account.

Isabelle's Trade+ is free to join, with no membership fees, no dues, and no minimum order requirements. It is designed to help professionals get dependable support, project-friendly pricing, and clear communication from quote to delivery.

If you purchase lighting, ceiling fans, mirrors, furniture, or décor for client projects, rental properties, remodels, or new construction, Isabelle's Trade+ may be a better way to buy.

A Note About Vermont-Made Hubbardton Forge

Hubbardton Forge is one of our USA-made brands, and their process is different from many imported lighting lines.

Most Hubbardton Forge products are made to order. Standard production typically ships out within 3 to 4 weeks.

For customers who need their order sooner, Hubbardton Forge also offers express production on many items. Express production typically ships out within 5 to 7 days and is available for a modest $75 upcharge per SKU.

That charge is per SKU, not per quantity. For example, if you ordered 10 of the same eligible SKU, the express production charge would be $75 total for that SKU.

This can be a very helpful option for projects with tighter timelines.

Confidence Comes From Clear Communication

We know that lighting decisions often happen during larger projects. You may be working around contractors, electricians, designers, move-in dates, inspection schedules, or family deadlines.

That is why details matter.

When you contact Isabelle’s Lighting about availability, we do our best to provide clear answers and helpful guidance. If an item is available, we want you to know. If inventory is limited, we want you to understand the risk of waiting. If a product is delayed, we want to help you decide whether it is worth waiting for or whether another option may better serve your needs.

We are here to guide you, not pressure you.

Beautiful lighting should bring peace, warmth, and confidence into your home. The buying process should feel the same way.

At Isabelle’s Lighting, we believe transparency is part of excellent service. It is one more way we help customers choose the right products with clarity, confidence, and care.
