Owners: Tom & Crystal Isabelle
Tom Isabelle began working in the family business in 1991 while still in high school, learning lighting from the ground up alongside his father, Hector. In 2002, Tom officially purchased the company and led its transition into the digital age; recognizing early that customers wanted broader selection, transparent pricing, and real expert guidance online.
Today, Tom and his wife Crystal run Isabelle’s Lighting together, combining decades of continued product knowledge and ongoing business development with a commitment to service that puts people first. Their goal is simple: to deliver an exceptional shopping experience that’s easier, more personal, and more trustworthy than traditional lighting retail.

Founders: Hector & Marilyn Isabelle
Isabelle’s Lighting began in 1970 as Isabelle Electric Supply Company during a challenging economic era. Founded by Hector and Marilyn Isabelle in Barre, Vermont, the business started in a modest 1,300-square-foot space of their Barre, Vermont home and quickly earned a reputation for reliability, expertise, and integrity.
As demand grew, the company expanded into a 10,000-square-foot warehouse in South Barre, serving contractors, homeowners, and businesses throughout the region. Remembered for their warmth and work ethic, Hector and Marilyn built more than a business-they built a legacy of service that continues today.
