   Are you looking for an indoor ceiling fan for your family room, an outdoor ceiling fan for your patio, or perhaps a ceiling fan to provide comfort of better air circulation in a second floor master suite?    "I have a lower ceiling." -
   
   Consider a flush mount fan. At Isabelle's Lighting, we have various low profile ceiling fan light kits too, suitable for lower ceilings. Ideally, you want 7 feet minimum below your fan blades to the floor.
   
   "I need a fan for an older home where I can't easily get to the wiring." -
   
   Wiring an older home can be tricky. Sometimes, you want to avoid replacing the two-wire light fixture wiring with a fan and light because re-wiring for a third wire would be too costly. Many of our ceiling fans can be installed with a receiver and remote control that communicate wirelessly for these scenarios.
   
   "I have a high tech home and need to control my fan using Alexa or Google Home." -

   Many of our fans come standard with hanging systems for ceilings up to 26 degrees and 5/12 pitch ceilings. For cathedral and sloped ceilings up to 45 degrees, we have adapters to accommodate certain fans we sell.

   Most of Isabelle's Lighting ceiling fans can be reversed in their direction. In the summer, counter-clockwise blade rotation will create a wind chill effect that can made you feel cooler. This can aid any air conditioning system resulting in a reduction of energy use costs. In the cold weather, clockwise blade rotation at a low speed can also create energy savings. The entire room is evenly warmed by mixing the warmer ceiling air with the room air.
   
   
2. What Is The Right Size Fan?
   
   To maximize performance, choose the right ceiling fan blade span for your room. The blade span is the measurement from the center of the fan to the tip of any blade multiplied by 2.
   
   For maximum comfort, your ceiling fan should be placed as close to the center of the room as possible and blade tips should be at least 18 inches from any wall. For ceilings taller than eight feet, to maximize air movement, the fan should be hung by a downrod 8 to 9 feet from the floor. Isabelle's Lighting downrods can be included with most ceiling fan orders to achieve the proper mounting height you desire.
   
   Here are some sizing tips based on aesthetic and airflow considerations:
   
   * For smaller spaces (less than 75 sq ft), like a bathroom, a ceiling fan with a 36 inch blade span or smaller is recommended.
   * An average room (75 - 144 sq ft), a 42 - 44 inch blade span fan would work well.
   * For a larger bedroom and family room (144 - 225 sq ft), a 52 inch fan would be best suited.
   * A space 225 - 400 sq ft, a broader 54 - 72 inch blade span fan will fill the space well.
   * For areas larger than 400 sq ft, consider more than one 54 - 72 inch ceiling fan for best results.
   
   
3. How Do I Install My Fan?
   
   Some fans are not as straight-forward and can stump even the most qualified electrician. Nothing is completely standard when it comes to installing your ceiling fan but it doesn't have to be difficult.
